| Well it looks like I'll be back in Canada in a matter of days. My sister Michelle (flight attendant with Air Canada), got me a really cheap ticket to fly home (close to home) for the surgery. The good part about this is that I can fly with her and possibly one of my other sisters, Melanie, from Toronto to Thunder Bay (where the surgery is). I also get to spend Tuesday night in Toronto, this will be nice. I spent the last few days shopping and buying things for my family. Thank you to everyone who is praying, it means a lot to me. I can't wait to see my family again, I haven't seen some of them since July last year. It's sad that Levi can't come with us, I'll miss him way too much. Airports always remind us of the many times we had to say tearful goodbyes to each other. BLAH! I hated those. At least this time I'll only be saying goodbye for a few days.
Has anyone else been reading up on the Holmsteder named Kateen Solberg? Anyways, its a tragic story but amazing at the same time how God has/is taking care of her. It makes me think that she could've been one of us on our DTS or someone we know. We've been praying for her...here's the link in case anyone doesn't know what I'm talking about.

| I just finished watching the last minutes of our DTS video that Brandy taped for us. Good times!! It's been a while since I watched it, it brought back a lot of nice memories and it was nice to see everyone smiling and looking so cute! Anyways, the reason why I wanted to watch it was cause I wanted to hear the "healing" song again. I just found out today that my dad will be going for spinal surgery on March 22, next week. He has a pinched nerve in his neck, which can paralize him if he doesn't have this surgery. It's all happening so fast and I'm getting the same flashbacks I had at Holmsted when I found out he had cancer. God healed him of that and I guess I needed some re-assurance that he'll heal him of this as well. God is so powerful and sometimes I forget that. Watching the dts video reminded me of that (he healed me!). Reminded me of how much he loves us all and how no matter, he's with us! It's going to be a crazy next few weeks, seeing as how I'm here in PA, the surgery will be in Canada, and the fact that all 7 members of my family will have to make it there for the date. If anyone wants to pray for my dad and my family over the next few weeks, that would be great. We need all the prayer we can get. | | |
| I know its been a while since my last post, and I do want to write a proper post with a full update of the last few months, but this one is going to be short because I'm tired and kinda sick. This will only make sense to the Hungary/Czech team. Last night me and Leves were over at a friends house (some other YWAM couples) playing the game Balderdash....remember our game in the little triangular cabin in snowy Czech? Anyways, we pulled out a card that had the word "hypermimia" (also known as "Emma-mimia") on it and it brought us back instantly to that fun night in Czech. It reminded me of all of you, the whole DTS and how much I miss everyone! I really do think of all of you often. As for Brandy's post a while back about the reunion, I think we're all a bit too poor to make it for this summer. My suggestion is that we put it off a few years, maybe till 2010 or so...and also we should pray about it. I would also be more than happy to help with the reunion. Anyways, I promise to post again, soon. Love you all!

| God has provided me a job! I'll be working for Kitchen Kettle . It's a tourist shopping area, it was even featured on the Food Network (my favourite channel!). I'll be working in an office, answering phones for people who want to order from their catelogue. I'll also be doing hotel reservations, and wholesale orders. I'm excited that I'll be in an office and not in a store. The only bad thing is that the job ends a few days before Christmas. They only need me for the Christmas rush. It's really close to where Levi and I are now, only an 8 min drive. When we move to the city (Lancaster), it will be good not to have this job as it will be too far to drive to. So for where we are now, it's a good job and pays well (not as good as in Canada though, sadly). I think I'll try to get another job on top of it so that I'll still have a job after Christmas. Another amazing event soon to come is my trip to Toronto for Canada's Thanksgiving! My sister made me her travel partner (I get cheap flights because she's a flight attendent for Air Canada). So I get to go home (Canada) for a few days! It's such a blessing. I really can't wait. But sadly, Levi can't come. I'll miss him! Well I should clean our little apartment while I still have time. | | |
| Just a few hours ago I opened up my rejection letter for the Teen mother group home I applied at. It was pretty hard to let it sink in that I didn't get the job, it seemed so right for me. I also never applied for a job and went through interviews and not get the job. I guess I need to be turned down sometime in my life...haha. Levi's way of comforting me of my loss was saying that "Everyone needs their ego-checked". Great. Thanks for that. But it does makes sense. Either way, I was never really sure of that job, something just didn't seem right. My next step is to start applying at a bunch of stores near Levi's Starbucks...its right at an outlet mall. So I'm going to be working on applications for a few stores there. I can't think of anything else new and exciting. See ya!
Oh...everyone has to see "Little Miss Sunshine" if you haven't already...it was so funny, I laughed, I cried, then I laughed so hard that I cried. It's really good. | Currently Watching Little Miss Sunshine By Steve Carell, Toni Collette, Greg Kinnear, Chuck Loring, Robert O'Connor (IV), Steven Christopher Parker, Erik David, Alissa Anderegg, Matt Winston, Justin Shilton, Paul Dano, Abigail Breslin, Jennessa Rose, Jerry Giles, Mark Kubr, Grant Hayes, Lindsey Jordan, Alan Arkin, Julio Oscar Mechoso, Cassandra Ashe see related |
